Job Description:

The Mercan Properties Group is responsible for developing real estate projects in the tourism sector in Portugal and currently has 31 projects across the country. The Mercan Group has a presence, in addition to Portugal, in Canada, China, India, the United Arab Emirates, United States of America and Greece. The operation in Portugal began in 2015, focusing on the development of real estate projects related to tourism.

We are hiring a Project Management Officer (PMO) to strengthen our project support structure. This role will be crucial for standardizing templates, ensuring timely project execution, and providing
- time visibility into project performance.

Responsibilities:

• Create standard models with macro deliverables and typical project milestones.
• Ensure all schedules are detailed at the task level, with clear owners and timelines.
• Use integrated tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Monday.com, Smartsheet) to manage and visualize multiple schedules simultaneously.
• Set up dashboards with alerts for delays, deviations, and critical tasks.
• Implement review routines for critical tasks and operational risks.
• Reinforce weekly or
  - weekly planning meetings with each Project Manager.
• Prepare standardized reports (weekly,
  - weekly or monthly) with overall status, physical vs.planned progress, deviations, and corrective actions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, Information Technology, or related fields.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in MS Project, Primavera P6, Monday.com, or Smartsheet.
• Experienced in developing dashboards and performance reports.
• Solid knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking.
• Intermediate to advanced English level.
