Job Description

We are excited to be on the hunt for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Poker Editor.

In this role, you’ll lead the creation and execution of
- quality informational content across the poker vertical. This editorial role centres on evergreen content, including
- to guides, strategy breakdowns, game theory explainers, terminology definitions, player profiles, and poker features.

With a deep understanding of the poker landscape, you’ll shape content strategy, collaborate with writers, and ensure everything published is accurate, accessible, and SEO-optimized. You’ll research topics, spot content gaps, and use data to drive performance and refine editorial direction.

We’re looking for an experienced editor with strong poker knowledge, sharp editorial instincts, and a passion for crafting content that’s insightful, trustworthy, and aligned with user intent and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Commission, brief, and edit a wide range of poker content, including
  - to guides, strategy explainers, player profiles, game variants, and
  - form features.
• Identify
  - opportunity keywords and content gaps.
• Plan and maintain a content calendar aligned with SEO strategy, poker trends, and audience needs.
• Ensure all content is factually accurate,
  - written, and optimized for search and user engagement.
• Manage and expand a network of
  - savvy freelance writers and contributors.
• Track content performance and make
  - driven decisions to improve quality and visibility.
• Stay current on poker news, game updates, and industry trends to inform content planning.

Qualifications

• Must be based in a European time zone (GMT - GMT +4).
• Proven experience commissioning and editing content in the poker space.
• Deep understanding of poker gameplay, formats (cash, tournaments, online/live), and strategy.
• Strong editorial judgment with the ability to shape and elevate complex content for all skill levels.
• Solid grasp of SEO principles and how they apply to evergreen and informational content.
• Excellent editing, writing, and communication skills.
• Experience managing freelance writers and providing clear, constructive feedback.
• Comfortable using data and analytics tools to inform and refine content strategy.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
• Awareness of responsible gaming practices and regulatory considerations.
• Passion for poker and an understanding of what the poker audience values.
