1. Survey of the state of the art regarding dynamic and
   - state analysis of AC/DC hybrid distribution networks and microgrids.
2. Survey of the state of the art regarding protection, islanding operation, and service restoration in AC/DC hybrid distribution networks and microgrids.
3. Identification of use cases for hybrid AC/DC distribution networks and assessment of the technical challenges in the addressed aspects based on the current state of the art.
4. Development of innovative technical and scientific solutions to address the challenges identified, using computational simulation.
5. Contribute to the development of toolboxes for computational simulation, specifically designed for DC networks, using software such as Matlab, PSCAD, PSSE, and DIg
   SILENT Power
   Factory.
6. Assist in writing project deliverables, reporting the developed work.
7. Disseminate work through publications in international journals and conferences.
8. Possess solid academic knowledge in electrical power systems.

Preference factors include:

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Relevant knowledge in control theory and power electronics.
• Experience with computational simulation tools like Matlab, PSCAD, PSSE, or DIg
  SILENT Power
  Factory.

Additional benefits:

• Maintenance stipend of €1851, paid via bank transfer, with potential quarterly supplements up to 50%.
• Support for registration, enrollment, or tuition fees during the grant period.
