The Galvão Research Group at INL develops three main theoretical research lines: photonic quantum computation, foundations of quantum computation, and quantum software engineering.

We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the team under the Veri
Qu
B project.

Responsibilities

• Research on quantum computation with bosonic variable systems;
• Characterise and verify resources enabling quantum advantage;
• Boson sampling and related quantum computational advantage proposals.

Qualifications

Education

• Ph
  D degree in Physics, Physical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related field.

Experience and Technical Skills

• Research experience in quantum information and computation;
• Strong knowledge of quantum mechanics.

Other Valued Skills (if applicable)

• Knowledge of variable quantum information is valued;
• Experience in supervising Master or Ph
  D students.

Personal Skills

• Hands-on approach with high commitment to meeting working deadlines;
• Problem solving ability;
• Customer orientation;
• Ability to work independently and as a team player;
• Relocation support; (if applicable in context)
• 30 working days of annual leave.
