We are looking for a Power BI Tester to join our team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our Power BI reports and dashboards. You will be responsible for validating and verifying data visualization processes, supporting
- driven decisions, and ensuring that Power BI solutions meet business requirements. Daily communication with the team and stakeholders will be in Portuguese and English, and work is hybrid (2 times a week in Lisbon).

Responsibilities

Create and Execute Test Cases:

Develop and execute test cases for Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to ensure functionality and accuracy.
Validate KPIs and Metrics:

Validate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, DAX formulas, and visualizations to ensure they provide correct insights and data.
Ensure Data Quality:

Ensure the quality, consistency, and integrity of imported and transformed data to guarantee accurate reporting.
Identify Data Issues:

Detect and report problems related to calculations, ETL data flows, and connectivity with external data sources.
Performance & Usability Testing:

Perform performance and usability testing to optimize user experience, ensuring dashboards and reports load quickly and efficiently.
Governance Compliance:

Ensure that report access and permissions follow data governance policies and adhere to security and privacy standards.

Requirements

Experience with Power BI:

Proven experience (3+ years) in testing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data sources, with a solid understanding of Power BI features and capabilities.
Testing Methodology:

Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methods, and techniques (manual testing, test case creation, defect tracking).
Data Accuracy & Integrity:

Experience validating and testing data sources, ensuring data is accurate and consistent across reports.
SQL Proficiency:

Solid understanding of SQL for querying and validating databases to ensure data quality in Power BI reports.
Report Performance Optimization:

Experience with performance testing, especially for Power BI reports with large data sets, ensuring they load quickly and efficiently.
Collaboration & Communication:

Ability to work effectively with
- functional teams, including developers, analysts, and business users, and communicate testing progress clearly.
Attention to Detail:

Strong attention to detail to identify issues or discrepancies in data and report functionality.
Documentation Skills:

Ability to write detailed test cases, defect reports, and maintain accurate testing logs.
