Who You’ll Work With

You’ll join Bain’s Global Retail Practice team, a passionate and innovative group recognized as one of Bain’s flagship practices. Our practice covers all major retail sectors, including grocery, apparel and footwear (including luxury fashion), specialty retail, restaurants and food service, and travel and leisure. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the globe, partners leading IP initiatives, and Bain’s marketing and editorial teams. You’ll also work closely with other Practice Consultants worldwide and members of Bain’s broader Product, Practice, and Knowledge (PPK) ecosystem.

Where You’ll Fit Within the Team

This
- time role supports Bain’s Retail practice globally (30%) and in the Americas (70%), with preferred location in Mexico City. Reporting to the Global/Americas Retail Practice Director, you’ll help shape Bain’s retail IP and drive thought leadership across one of Bain’s largest and
- growing industry sectors.

What You’ll Do

• Build Bain’s distinctive, provocative retail IP and points of view through research, data analysis, and expert input
• Collaborate with partners and practice leaders to develop, refine, and commercialize new products and insights
• Support marketing efforts by publishing thought pieces externally in formats such as briefs, infographics, webinars, and videos
• Actively deploy IP internally and externally, supporting affiliates, case teams, and commercialization initiatives
• Provide advisory support to
  - facing teams, ensuring frontline learnings improve our content
• Support major practice meetings and summits, from agenda setting to presenting the latest IP
• Coach and mentor colleagues on the practice team, contributing to professional development and a strong team ethos

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU

• BA or equivalent required; MBA preferred
• 4+ years of professional experience, including 1–2 years of current or recent consulting experience at the Consultant level with a leading consulting firm
• Strong abilities in problem definition and problem solving
• Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and business modeling
• Skilled at structuring and leading research and analysis in
  - paced environments
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including Power
  Point proficiency
• Comfortable working with remote supervisors and global teams
• Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across all levels at Bain and client organizations

Preferred Experience

• Retail sector exposure (consulting or industry)
• Project management experience
• Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e. g. , Alteryx, Tableau)
