They are currently seeking a Pre-construction Director to join our Lisbon-based team and lead the
- stage development of major data centre projects in Portugal and across Europe.

Role Overview

As Pre-construction Director, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our projects by managing all
- construction activities — from concept to construction handover. You will lead multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, estimating, budgeting, procurement, and early contractor engagement, ensuring each project is set up for success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the
  - construction phase of hyperscale and enterprise data centre projects.
• Manage the development of cost estimates, project budgets, risk assessments, and schedules.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams to align on project vision, design criteria, and deliverables.
• Drive value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize designs.
• Support bid preparation and procurement strategies for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, sustainability standards, and safety policies.
• Develop and mentor a
  - performing
  - construction team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in
  - construction/project management roles within
  - scale commercial or industrial construction.
• Proven track record in data centre,
  - tech, or
  - critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial, technical, and contractual acumen.
• Experience with international project delivery, particularly within the EU.
• Fluent in English; Portuguese is a strong advantage.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel across Europe as needed.
