About The Job

• The Prime Brokerage Risk Team monitors the risks associated with clients' portfolios within Prime Brokerage activity.
• The Prime Brokerage Risk Analyst oversees client portfolio risks globally for Prime Solutions and Financing Global Business Line. This includes analyzing top equity and margin moves daily, ensuring accurate data reporting, running portfolio simulations on an ad hoc basis, performing specific analyses, and delivering projects for the Risk team.

Our Main Activities Are

• Assess and review portfolio risk, identify changes in client strategies and asset mixes, and update margining methodologies as needed.
• Conduct scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of portfolio changes, funding costs, business mix, interest rates, and currencies on risk and pricing.
• Analyze and report significant swings in client portfolios, escalating issues to management.
• Assist in developing margin and pricing proposals for new and existing clients.
• Develop automation tools to monitor and analyze client performance metrics across various dimensions, including internal and external metrics.
• Generate accurate risk summaries at the position, client account, regional, and global levels.
• Manage and execute ad hoc projects for the desks.

Profile And Skills To Success

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Maths, or similar fields.
• Up to 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Excellent Excel skills, including VBA and SQL experience.
• Confident in communicating with senior managers and
  - cultural teams.
• Willingness to work flexible or late hours, aligned with New York time zone.
• Ability to work under pressure with agility.

About The Team

• BNP Paribas Global Markets' Prime Services unit combines traditional Prime Brokerage with innovative Equity Derivative services, enabling us to anticipate client needs and develop effective solutions.
• Our Risk Management team manages portfolio risk and leverage, working closely with sales, securities lending, client management, and transversal teams like Credit Risk Management. Our Lisbon team supports client financing risk management.
