About The Job

The Prime Services Risk Management team assesses, monitors, and reviews portfolio risk, focusing on Counterparty Risk. The team aims to prevent BNP Prime Business losses in the event of a Hedge Fund bankruptcy. A project component to enhance our tools and platform is also present. The team seeks a quantitative/analytic profile with an interest in Finance.

Your Main Activities Are

• Assess and review portfolio risk, identify changes in client strategies and asset mixes, and determine if margining methodologies need updates.
• Conduct scenario analysis to assess the impact of changes in client portfolios, funding costs, business mix, interest rates, and currency mix on risk and pricing.
• Analyze and report on major swings in client portfolios, escalating concerns to management.
• Assist in developing margin and pricing proposals for new and existing clients.
• Develop automation tools to monitor and analyze client performance metrics across various dimensions.
• Generate accurate risk summaries at different levels: position, client account, regional, and global.
• Manage and execute ad hoc projects for the desks.

Profile And Skills To Success

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Engineering.
• Fluency in English, both oral and written.
• Proficiency with Python.
• Results-driven mindset with great attention to detail.

The Risk Management team manages portfolio risk and leverage, collaborating closely with other business functions and transversal teams, supporting client financing risk management in Lisbon.
