The Principal Cloud & Security Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to being a key leader in ensuring the resilience, scalability, and security of Allia Health Group's technology infrastructure. This role will drive enterprise cloud architecture, establish security engineering standards, and lead critical initiatives to safeguard data and systems while mentoring senior engineers and shaping organizational best practices
Key Responsibilities- Lead

Ops practices and automated security controls within CI/CD pipelines. - Mentor senior engineers and support the professional growth of the Cloud & Security Ops team. - Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to align infrastructure with business priorities. - Lead incident response and remediation for
- severity security issues. - Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (e. G. , GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2). Qualifications
Required- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, or a related field. - Minimum of 7+ years specifically within Cloud Security Engineering roles, with at least 1 year in a Lead or Staff-level capacity. - Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Docker (specifically container orchestration security). - Proven,
- on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ia
C) tools, specifically Terraform or Ansible. - A strong background in building and securing CI/CD pipelines (e. G. , Git
Hub Actions, Jenkins, or Google Cloud Build). - Expert-level knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud preferred;



AWS/Azure acceptable for candidates willing to transition). - Deep knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and secure networking. Preferred- Direct experience with the Google Cloud ecosystem (Looker, Vertex AI, etc. ). - Experience with Postgre
SQL, React, or automation tools like Ui
Path and N8N. - Relevant industry certifications (e. G. , Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CISM, or CISSP). Physical Requirements- Working in Madeira in a shared office space, remote in Portugal, or remote in a Portuguese time
