Lead Maintenance Engineer Coordination and Planning
Responsible for coordinating, planning, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring the availability of equipment under their responsibility. Acts as the central point between the maintenance team and other departments, promoting process efficiency and workplace safety.
Integration
Integrated into the Production Department, reporting to the area manager.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Organizing Maintenance Activities: Develop preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, aligning activities according to priority and urgency. Coordinate and delegate tasks to the maintenance team, ensuring all operations are completed on time and with high quality.
Team Supervision and Leadership: Supervise the maintenance team, providing technical support and developing team members' skills. Conduct training and
- building for the team, promoting continuous improvement and alignment with safety standards.
Safety and Compliance Assurance: Ensure all maintenance operations comply with safety standards and applicable regulations. Implement and monitor workplace safety practices, promoting a safe environment for all employees.
Resource and Material Management: Control and organize the stock of parts and materials needed for maintenance, managing consumption and placing orders when necessary. Analyze the maintenance budget and optimize resource use to reduce costs without compromising service quality.
Process Analysis and Improvement: Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement in maintenance processes. Analyze recurring failures and develop solutions to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including failure reports, repairs performed, and improvements implemented. Prepare performance reports and present efficiency metrics to the leadership team.
Requirements and Skills
Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / related fields. Experience in leading maintenance teams, preferably in the automotive industry (minimum 8 years). Solid knowledge in preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance. Competence in managing resources and budgets. Skills in
- solving, leadership, and teamwork.
