As a Principal Software Engineer in our Tech Hub in Portugal, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing digital entertainment consumption by creating engaging user experiences. Joyn is a streaming service offering a vast library of TV shows, movies, and live channels, accessible anytime, anywhere.

What you can expect in this role

• Develop scalable,
  - availability
  - services using Type
  Script, Node. js, Graph
  QL, Kafka, AWS, Gitlab, and more.
• Build robust Graph
  QL queries and REST APIs.
• Collaborate with your team, practicing agile methodologies, and promote best engineering practices.
• Manage your services in production, resolving technical debt and quality issues.
• Apply industry best practices to improve developer experience and delivery speed, serving as a technical reference.
• Follow and implement trends in software and streaming technology to enhance customer experience.

Your essential experience and education

• University degree in computer science, IT, media engineering, or similar.
• 7+ years experience in API & service architecture, preferably with Graph
  QL.
• 7+ years experience with AWS or similar cloud solutions, especially
  - scaling and serverless.
• 7+ years experience in Type
  Script/Node. js.
• Focus on code quality and maintainability.
• Fluent in English; Portuguese or German is a plus.
