Private Credit Officer
Job Description:
- The Portugal Private Credit Center of Expertise team forms part of the wider Loan Solutions team within the Alternative Investors (AI) client line, working in collaboration with the Private Capital teams.
- Loan Solutions is engaged in the delivery of product and solutions to asset manager and asset owner clients investing in Private Credit (corporate loans), Infrastructure Debt and Real Estate Debt. The team purpose is the delivery of client solutions and services designed specifically for General Partners investing in private assets, direct loans, and broadly syndicated loans in particular.
- The main services delivered by the Portugal Private Credit Center of Expertise team are:
• Loan Administration
• Collateral Administration
• Middle office services
• Depositary function (ownership verification and record keeping)
• Loan Trade Closing – where relevant
- Primary focus is the AI client line and client segment, however the team’s coverage also encompasses service delivery for Asset Owners, traditional Asset Managers investing into Private Credit asset classes, and BNPP CIB Global Markets.
- The Team Manager will lead several teams within PCCE department to ensure the service delivery (delivery of results, monitoring, controlling results, KPI, Risk & quality), increasing efficiency and staff development.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Activity management: Monitor and follow up activity deliverables. Define and measure relevant KPIs and KRIs, ensure Action plan articulation (with the relevant stakeholders) when needed and communication to relevant stakeholders. Ensure SLA are respected. Ensure close follow up of Capacity planning.
- Risk Management: Ensure Risk mitigation by contributing to the definition and deployment of controls. Identify, follow up incidents, ensuring escalation according with incident management procedure. Contribute to the management of audit, risk and control topics within the department. Ensure Local control plans are dully updated.
- Client: Ensure Client Satisfaction by promoting effective and proactive management of client queries, by dissiminating a Data quality mindset and by ensuring SLA are met. Contribute to the client onboarding process (including RFP) and to Service reviews/Due diligence. Share client feedback with teams including service review. Promote a client focus mindset across scope.
- Transformation: Contribute to growth and development of the business by participating/allocate SME to the different local & global transformation initiatives (industry updates, data quality, risk mitigation, efficiency, system implementation, TOM). Ensure best practices sharing & deployment across teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a continuous improvement mindset across scope. Ensure best practices sharing (people management, efficiency, problem solving). Share achievements across scope.
- People development: ensure people development according to best practices (matrix skills, training assignment, best practices sharing). Defining Team Leaders' objectives, Personal development plan, suggesting relevant training and
- hoc actions, providing continuous feedback to direct reports and assistance. Ensure and follow succession plan for management roles and key assets.
- Staff recruitment: Contribute to staff recruitment, define key skills, ensure their responsibilities are well defined and communicated, and monitor profiles matching against position requisites. Ensure that training plan are in place, training follow up is achieved and materialized, and objectives are provided.
- Relationship with stakeholders, legacy locations: promoting collaborative approach across the platform.
- Ensure procedures are followed, reviewed, and updated.
- Assure that mandatory trainings are timely completed.
Technical Skills:
- Bachelor's (3-5 years) in Economics, Finance and Accounting
- Banking and Financial Operations (5-7) years
