We are looking for a Director of Procurement (m/f), based at the stunning Kimpton Atlântico Algarve, to lead and optimize our purchasing strategy across all hotel operations.

The Director of Procurement is responsible for leading and optimizing the purchasing strategy across all hotel operations to ensure the best value, quality, and service in line with the company’s standards and sustainability goals. This role oversees the sourcing of goods and services, vendor management, contract negotiations, and procurement policies, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and operational needs. The Director of Procurement works closely with the Finance and Operations teams to drive cost efficiency, compliance, and consistency across all properties.

• Develop and implement the group’s procurement strategy, policies, and procedures.
• Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, and relationship management to secure favorable terms and reliable partnerships.
• Identify and implement
  - saving opportunities and process improvements while maintaining quality standards.
• Oversee centralized purchasing operations and support local teams to ensure alignment and compliance.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to anticipate needs and manage risks.
• Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of procurement activities.
• Promote sustainable sourcing practices and support corporate ESG initiatives.
• Manage and mentor the procurement team to enhance efficiency and professional growth.

What you need to shine in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in procurement, ideally within hospitality, retail, or FMCG sectors.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and cost optimization.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with procurement systems and ERP tools (e. g. , SAP, Oracle).
• Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus.
