Product Design Manager – OLX

OLX is a leading online marketplace connecting millions of users worldwide. We build safe, smart, and convenient experiences to buy and sell goods and services, and we need a people‑centric Product Design Manager to lead our design team.

Location: Portugal (remote work within Portugal possible; legal eligibility required). Job type: Full‑time.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead, coach, and grow a
  - performing team of Product Designers.
• Shape product strategy with cross‑functional partners and ensure design vision directly influences what we build.
• Drive design quality through critiques, reviews, and feedback sessions.
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to align priorities, balance speed and quality, and ensure smooth collaboration from discovery to delivery.
• Establish strong design practices—help teams improve processes, leverage systems, and work efficiently.
• Foster a culture of excellence and learning, empowering teams to experiment, challenge assumptions, and take ownership.
• Stay close to customers and data to inform decisions, validate impact, and guide iteration.
• Recruit and onboard strong, diverse design talent.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience leading design teams that deliver
  - quality,
  - centered products.
• 5+ years in product design, with at least 2 years in a
  - management role.
• A portfolio that shows team impact—not just your design work, but how you’ve grown people and improved outcomes.
• Experience influencing product direction and connecting design decisions to business outcomes.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; you can translate design thinking into action across teams.
• A bias toward hands‑on leadership—you enjoy getting into the details when needed.
• Comfort working in
  - moving, cross‑functional environments.
