We are currently hiring a Product Designer to join our I&E HUB in Lisbon.

Who are we?

Autonomous vehicles and their surrounding ecosystem are key areas in MAN's strategy and that of our partners. Alongside digitalization and electrification, they are fundamental to our future product lineup.

To control, monitor, and assist
- driving vehicles on the road, a cloud system is essential. It connects and collects data from various sources, enabling fleets of autonomous commercial vehicles to be operated from a central location. This system ensures that data is processed and available at the right time and place, facilitating the use of autonomous vehicles (AVs) for our customers. We are seeking passionate individuals to help create these components and build an autonomous future.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Define requirements, concepts, and solutions for a Driver-as-a-Service (Daa
  S) within autonomous vehicles.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product management, systems engineering, and development teams to ensure cohesive product development.
• Work with the product owner to analyze scope and break down requirements into epics and user stories.
• Coordinate with developers to ensure accurate implementation and resolve
  - related issues.
• Identify the need for workshops, facilitate them, analyze results, and present next steps.
• Conduct user research to gather insights for Daa
  S product design that integrates with customer logistics.
• Present concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into designs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automated driving technologies.
• Ensure concepts comply with safety and regulatory standards.
• Create wireframes and prototypes to communicate ideas effectively.
• Proactively solve problems and seek innovative solutions, demonstrating a
  - oriented approach.

What requirements are we looking for?

• 3-5 years of experience in product conception and design, preferably in complex software systems within an international context, with knowledge in logistics, transport, or telematics as an advantage.
• Mastery of UX design methods, both theoretical and practical.
• Experience conducting independent user research.
• Confidence in requirements analysis and translating them into user stories or tasks.
• Experience leading
  - oriented discovery phases; Design Thinking knowledge is beneficial.
• Relevant workshop experience with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and
  - solving skills.
• Prior experience in the automotive and transportation industry is a plus.
• Ability to work closely with
  - functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Team-oriented mindset and strong collaboration skills.
• Experience with the SAFE framework is a plus.
