Reporting to the Product Developer Manager , you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all activities related to product development, ensuring accurate technical documentation, efficient supplier coordination, and effective
- functional integration. The role aims to guarantee technically feasible, economically viable and timely product solutions aligned with customer requirements and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Specification and Documentation Management
- Create and update technical sheets, product structures and complementary documentation in NAV.
- Ensure traceability of product versions and revisions.
- Organise and keep technical information, prices, contacts and project history updated.
2. Development Project Management and Coordination
- Oversee the full product development cycle, from the request stage to sample production and dispatch to the customer.
- Define suitable materials, production processes and method, ensuring technical and economic feasibility.
- Monitor deadlines, costs, resources and lead times, ensuring compliance with established schedules.
- Evaluate costs and margins and propose alternatives when necessary.
3. Supplier Management
- Request samples, quotations and lead times, ensuring the availability of competitive and technically suitable alternatives.
- Follow up on sample development and ensure suppliers meet agreed timelines.
- Periodically evaluate supplier performance and suggest improvements.
4. Product Evaluation and Validation
- Technically evaluate received samples.
- Validate prototypes and solutions before final approval, ensuring compliance with technical, aesthetic and legal requirements.
- Propose technical improvements and alternative solutions whenever necessary.
5. Interdepartmental Integration
- Ensure continuous collaboration with the Commercial, Production, Design, Planning, Logistics and Quality departments.
- Translate commercial requirements into clear and complete internal technical specifications.
- Guarantee an effective flow of information throughout all stages of development.
6. Administrative and Operational Control
- Enter requests, sample orders and relevant data into NAV.
- Organise sample shipments to customers.
- Update internal databases and ensure the closure of completed processes.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, working methods and technical communication.
- Identify opportunities for technical optimisation, cost reduction and operational efficiency.
Required skills:
Technical Skills:
- Solid knowledge of product development processes, technical specifications and documentation management.
- Ability to create, maintain and update technical sheets, product structures and development records in ERP systems, namely NAV.
- Understanding of materials, production processes and printing technologies;
experience with digital, flexographic and offset printing, as well as colour management, is considered an advantage. - Capacity to analyse technical feasibility, costs and margins, proposing alternative technical or sourcing solutions when necessary.
- Experience in supplier interaction, including sample requests, quotation analysis and
- time management. - Ability to technically evaluate and validate samples and prototypes, ensuring compliance with technical, aesthetic and applicable legal requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Outlook, Excel, Word and Power
Point) and internal documentation systems. - Ability to support internal audit processes related to product development and documentation traceability.
- Capacity to handle sensitive technical data and
- related information with confidentiality and responsibility.

- up. - Ability to make operational decisions within the scope of product development management, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company objectives.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written (mandatory).
- Knowledge of additional languages is considered an advantage.
Education and Experience:
- Completion of secondary education or equivalent qualification is required.
- Higher education in Marketing, International Trade, Management, Textile Engineering or other relevant fields is considered an asset.
- At least three year of experience in product development functions is valued, preferably within the printing industry or garment trim sector.
- Experience on Color Management and different printing mode of digital, flexo and offset is an advantage.
- Experience in
- functional environments and technical interaction with suppliers is highly valued.
