About the Role

We’re seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Technician with a background in proteins and strong analytical skills to join our Product Development team in Moita, Portugal. In this
- on role, you’ll support lab operations, conduct experiments, and assist in
- scale processes for biomass treatment and protein extraction. You’ll be a key player in developing sustainable food ingredients from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs, improve protocols for efficiency/quality, and collect and manage data accurately.
• Prepare and analyze samples using techniques like gravimetry and spectrophotometry.
• Handle lab equipment (centrifuge, microscope,
  - dryer) and maintain a clean workspace.
• Prepare reagents, buffers, and solutions.
• Conduct protein extraction, cell lysis, membrane filtration, and other product development tasks.
• Support
  - scale biomass treatment and food ingredient production.
• Manage multiple tasks in a
  - paced environment.

Requirements

• Laboratory Analysis Technician certification or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in a scientific lab (Food Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Microbiology).
• Strong analytical and
  - solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Proactive,
  - oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable in a
  - paced, evolving environment.
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Ability to work in a lab setting and stand/sit for extended periods.
• Hands-on experience with protein extraction or food ingredient processing (bench-scale or
  - scale).
