Job Title: Product Engineer (automotive plastic exterior parts)

Summary/Overview:

We are looking for a Product Engineer with strong technical orientation and practical knowledge in product development, especially in injection molding of plastic parts in the automotive industry, to join our client's project.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Develop and monitor products (namely plastic parts, on the exterior perimeter of the vehicle) from the conception phase to industrialization;
• Ensure the application of DFMA, FMEA, and GD&T methodologies in the development process;
• Conduct tolerance studies and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams;
• Ensure the technical compatibility of projects with client and production requirements;
• Use CATIA as the primary tool for design and 3D modeling.

Requirements:

• Higher education in Mechanical Engineering or similar;
• Proven experience in an industrial environment, with a focus on product development;
• Able to develop the project of the piece from the beginning, starting only from a design input - receiving the concept, evaluating feasibility, conducting theoretical product analysis, and elaborating the piece's design;
• CATIA proficiency;
• Proficiency in DFMA, FMEA, GD&T, and geometric tolerancing methodologies;
• Solid technical knowledge in aluminum stamping and plastic injection molding;
• Fluent English;
• Proactivity, technical rigor, and teamwork ability.
