Product Manager, Infrastructure Platform

Responsibilities

• Develop the platform vision for your area, ensuring alignment with overall product and company vision.
• Evangelize the vision so that all stakeholders are aligned, have context, and understand where we are going.
• Represent the customer, be the champion and voice of customers, build intimate customer relationships, and bring the customer’s voice into the creation process.
• Measure success, own the measures used to define success for your product, and interpret them into actionable conclusions and new hypotheses.
• Manage the roadmap, make tough tactical prioritization decisions while helping the company think
  - term, and build trust with stakeholders.
• Author use cases, prioritize requirements, and translate market observations and customer feedback into a prioritized product backlog.
• Collaborate across teams, ensuring alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders, with a collaborative attitude that is essential to the job.
• Develop new opportunities by staying on pulse of the market, customers, and engineering teams.

Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Experience presenting new products and features to customers, enthusiastic about sharing it with the world.
• Strong customer and stakeholder empathy, channel many points of view.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, organizational and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, drive consensus and deliver in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.
• Must be able to define and manage complex process and/or product issues of a broad scope using independent judgment.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to all audiences.
• Domain expertise in networks, distributed network applications, distributed systems, and real‑time applications with heavy network reliance.

Bonus Points

• BS/MS in a
  - or
  - related field.
• Passion and a strong understanding of the Internet and its underlying technologies.
• Deep knowledge of networking and industry standards.
• Distributed systems experience and building networks at scale.
• Experience in building, configuring or using cloud‑based network products.
• A solid understanding of RESTful API design & documentation.
• Hands‑on experience with command‑line tools used for interacting with APIs, debugging and testing (e. g. curl, dig, etc. ).
• Scripting/programming experience (Python, Go, etc. ) and/or experience with web frameworks.
• Previous product management experience.
