Product Owner - Travel-tech Porto

We’re seeking a proactive Product Owner who will take a central role in shaping and delivering innovative product solutions. You’ll be responsible for guiding the backlog, ensuring the right features are prioritised, and collaborating closely with Development and QA teams to deliver
- quality outcomes.

What you’ll do

Product Ownership

• Drive the

  - market approach for new product launches and feature rollouts.
• Define, refine, and prioritise user stories, epics, and tasks within the product backlog.
• Translate business and customer needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Serve as the key link between stakeholders and the development team.
• Actively contribute to agile ceremonies, including sprint planning,
  - ups, and retrospectives.
• Validate completed work against acceptance criteria to ensure quality delivery.

Product Discovery & Continuous Improvement

• Apply commercial thinking when assessing product concepts and opportunities.
• Spot recurring themes from customer requests, support interactions, and feedback to drive improvements.
• Identify pain points in the user journey and recommend enhancements.
• Continuously refine and manage the backlog to align with business priorities.

Quality & Delivery

• Establish clear acceptance criteria and testable requirements for all features.
• Work with development to prioritise bugs and defects.
• Ensure smooth coordination between Development and QA to maintain release quality.

Product Roadmap & Market Insight

• Contribute to market research and competitor benchmarking to highlight new opportunities.
• Help track and analyse key metrics (KPIs) to measure product performance and success.
• Assist with the creation and evolution of the product roadmap.

What we’re looking for:

• 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner
• Strong grasp of agile methodologies and ways of working
• Commercially minded, with proven experience in product enhancements and implementations
• Hands-on experience with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
• Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle and QA processes
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Fluency in English, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Bonus points if you have:

• A strong interest in AI and large language models
• Familiarity with agentic architectures or conversational AI
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data privacy regulations (e. g. , GDPR)
