The Role
As a
Production Manager
, you'll lead the heart of our operation: You'll oversee the production process, manage a dedicated team, and ensure that quality, safety, and sustainability standards are met. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping a thriving, efficient, and innovative production environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
Team Management and Leadership
- Supervise, motivate, and guide the production team by defining tasks, delegating responsibilities, and monitoring performance.
- Provide training and development opportunities to ensure the team's growth and success.
Production Oversight
- Oversee the entire mushroom production process, from substrate preparation to harvesting, ensuring adherence to quality and sustainability standards.
- Optimize workflows to enhance efficiency and minimize waste.
Sustainability and Resource Management
- Manage the collection and repurposing of coffee waste into substrate material.
- Ensure efficient use of resources to align with our
- friendly mission.
Quality Assurance and Safety
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and product quality throughout the production process.
- Implement and monitor food safety protocols in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Operational Planning and Reporting
- Develop and execute production schedules to meet demand effectively.
- Track and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
What We Expect From You
- Experience
: Ideally, 2 years in production management or a similar role, preferably in sustainable agriculture or food production. - Languages:
Portuguese and english is a must. - Leadership Skills
: Proven ability to inspire, manage, and develop a team. - Technical Knowledge
: Understanding of mushroom cultivation processes or a willingness to learn quickly. - Sustainability Focus
: Commitment to
- friendly practices and resource optimization. - Problem-Solving Ability
: Proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing solutions. - Communication Skills
: Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work across teams.
