Production Scheduler – Amarante, Portugal
For our new plant in Amarante, near Oporto, Portugal, we are looking for a Production Scheduler.
The mission of the Production Scheduler is to ensure the efficient execution of the production plan previously established by the production planning department for subassemblies and finished products manufactured at Conextivity Group production sites. The role guarantees effective production management and monitoring in order to better meet our customers’ needs, mitigate risks, and communicate any deviation from the plan that could impact customer deliveries. The main role is to translate production plans into executable schedules with clearly defined deadlines, in line with available resources, production capacity and supply chain constraints, ensuring a smooth workflow and timely fulfillment of orders.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Ensure that the production plan is followed and that customer deliveries are made as scheduled;
 - Optimize the factory’s production performance;
 - Ensure that workload, resources, components and tools are used efficiently within the factory;
 - Communicate and coordinate with all departments and stakeholders involved in fulfilling the mission;
 - Keep master data up to date in the ERP system;
 - Report any blocking points and/or risks that could prevent the achievement of objectives (escalation);
 - Develop and maintain relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) and tools for monitoring operations and processes;
 - Contribute to the company’s development through projects and improvement initiatives.
 
The Experience And Skills You Will Bring
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in scheduling/planning/purchasing within an industrial company;
 - Knowledge of an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, JD Edwards); SAP preferred;
 - Good command of MS Office (Excel, Outlook);
 - Good knowledge of French and English (any additional language is an advantage);
 - Goal‑oriented, reliable, and a strong team player;
 - Ability to work and communicate effectively in a multicultural and cross‑functional environment;
 - Proactive, pragmatic, organized, accurate, solution‑ and customer‑oriented;
 - Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
