Summary
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is a dynamic organization supporting 200 staff across 30 Early Childhood and Out of School Time programs. Are you motivated to make a difference in children's lives? If so, we invite you to apply ASAP.
The Program Director oversees the delivery of programs and services for the Club's
- school and summer camp programs, assisting with planning, development, and implementation.

This is a
- time, 35+ hours/week,
- exempt position.
Duties
Prepares Youth for Success
- Plans and manages programs supporting Youth Development Outcomes.
- Sets program objectives aligned with organizational goals and mission.
- Oversees daily program activities ensuring standards and goals are met.
- Ensures compliance with NH Childcare Licensing Bureau requirements.
- Encourages member participation and skill development.
- Demonstrates leadership to ensure proper conduct, safety, and development of members.
Program Development and Implementation
- Maintains program goals ensuring health and safety standards.
- Evaluates programs regularly, tracking outcomes and responding to member needs.
- Manages program expenditures within budget.
Supervision
- Allocates work, provides feedback, and supports staff and volunteers.
- Maintains records and reports activities, participation, and achievements.
- Ensures effective performance of staff and volunteers.
- Oversees special programs and increases program visibility via social media and communications.
Requirements
Candidates must be at least 20 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and meet one of the following:
- Qualifying documentation as a site director in a school program, or
- Associate’s degree in a related field, or
- Certification plus 1000 hours working with children, or
- 12 college credits in a related field plus 1000 hours working with children, or
- Current educator certification, or
- 2000 hours working with children plus specific certifications or coursework as detailed.
Additional expectations include background checks and adherence to
- tolerance policies for abuse.
