Mission of the Role: Experienced technical leader adept at leading strategic program management, who drives complex HW projects throughout program lifecycle, ensuring successful execution,
- time delivery, and customer satisfaction. This role works with the larger team to surpass customer expectations in cost, quality, and delivery on HW projects while meeting financial objectives. Be the Product Development Leader for HW Swim Lane in collaboration with HW Swim Lane Leaders, delivering the project objectives for the HW area and acting as the main Customer Program Management interface for the HW Swim Lane.
Key Objectives
- Develop and maintain control over all the Program Management elements of HW Swim Lane, e. g. : Project level timing plan and strategy to meet defined milestones.
- VPDS Process Compliance (Gate Deliverables, PAD, Vistway, ASPICE).
- Risks, defects, quality indicators & escalations.
- Budget and staff planning; forecast HW activities and load in e
Proj after approval (PIC/Gate) and keep it updated. - Coordinate one or more HW projects; manage customer and Visteon HW milestones and deliverables with HW Swim Lane leaders.
- Owns budget for HW activities; plans with Program Lead and other project leaders to align milestones with program goals.
- Support/align other project activities (e. g. , HW BOM readiness for sourcing, estimate changes impact, sample delivery requirements).
- Manage estimation (CBOM) and sourcing activities with Program buyers for hardware BOM.
- Work with Configuration & Integration Project Leader to achieve master samples from suppliers; ensure timely supplier/component qualification (PPAP) aligning with customer milestones.
Key Accountabilities
- Product Development Hardware Execution and Monitoring: lead and drive project execution, monitor progress, track milestones/deliverables, ensure timely delivery, cost optimization and quality outcomes including process compliance; coordinate with HW Swim Lane leader and program teams; promote effective
- making and preventive actions at project level. - Owns Project Budget for HW activities, monitor budget execution and staffing.
- Plan with other project leaders and align milestones to achieve program goals; support other program activities as needed.

- functional stakeholders as the primary contact for

- end program activities. - Change Management: evaluate and communicate impacts of changes on timelines, resources, and costs; execute program changes as necessary.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize impact on timelines, budgets, and deliverables; manage escalations.
- Innovation and Technology Adoption: identify and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends to enhance project management effectiveness.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferable Electrical).
- Several years of professional experience in program & project management, including at least six years in the automotive industry.
- Experience in leading larger development teams across multiple countries.
- Project management knowledge (PRINCE2 / PMP).
- Strong understanding of development and production processes in the automotive industry, with hardware design and testing experience.
- Leadership, entrepreneurial thinking, autonomy, and accountability.
- Strong discipline in Planning & Execution, Communication, and Strategy; strong communication skills with high customer orientation and team spirit.
- Analytical, structured thinking; knowledge of MS Office and MS Project + JIRA.
- Ability to lead from the front, build strong teams, and apply critical thinking.
