- on position that blends people leadership, project management, and operational process optimization. You will oversee resources, streamline workflows, and ensure compliance with local regulations — driving operational excellence. Airpelago’s Iberian office is located in Lisbon, Portugal, with frequent travel across the Iberian region and occasional travel within Europe.

- quality inspections with zero emissions. In 2023, we inspected 10% of Sweden’s power grid, firmly establishing our presence in the Nordic market. As we expand across Europe, we are looking for a motivated professional to help us build a strong presence in Iberia and other key markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project execution across Spain and Portugal, ensuring timely and
  - quality delivery of power line inspection projects.
• Coordinate daily operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with Iberian aviation, drone, and safety regulations in all activities.
• Oversee and support local drone pilots and subcontractors, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and performance.
• Represent Airpelago at customer meetings, regulatory discussions, and operational reviews across Iberia.

Process & Performance Optimization

• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and risks, ensuring projects are delivered within scope and expectations.
• Drive process improvements to enhance scalability, efficiency, and operational resilience.
• Implement and standardize workflows across Iberia in alignment with Airpelago’s global operations playbook.
• Contribute to strategic planning and reporting on project KPIs.

Market Development & Coordination

• Track and analyze market trends in Spain and Portugal to identify new operational opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales, product, and executive teams to support proposals and customer delivery.
• Ensure smooth
  - border coordination between the Iberian office in Lisbon and Airpelago HQ in Sweden.
• Build strong relationships with DSOs, TSOs, and regulatory bodies across Iberia.

Qualifications And Desired Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of project or operations management experience, ideally in energy, utilities, aviation, or technology sectors.
• Proven success in coordinating
  - stakeholder projects and leading teams.
• Familiarity with Iberian markets; experience in broader European markets is a strong plus.
• Strong technical aptitude and excellent computer literacy.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
• Fluency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a strong advantage.
• Valid driver’s license.
