Overview
Mercan is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager specialized in SAP Public Cloud to coordinate the implementation and optimization of SAP modules in our Portuguese business units. The role requires a strong understanding of financial processes and expertise in managing
- scale ERP implementations, particularly within SAP Public Cloud (Financial Core Modules), SAP consolidation, SAP Procurement, SAP Success
Factors, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the full project lifecycle of SAP Public Cloud implementation from initiation through deployment, stabilization, and transition to support.
- Manage
- functional project teams, facilitating alignment across Finance, HR, IT, Operations, and external partners. - Develop and oversee detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and risk management.
- Serve as the primary contact between Mercan Properties and SAP implementation partners.
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP modules and external systems like Oracle Opera PMS, Oracle Simphony POS, Innux time attendance, Team Tailor, and Salesforce Clouds.
- Regularly report on project status, risks, and issues to the Steering Committee, proposing mitigation strategies.
- Manage the SAP implementation budget effectively.
- Oversee training and change management to ensure successful adoption of SAP Public Cloud and related integrations.
Required Experience and Knowledge
- Proven experience managing

- end SAP Public Cloud implementations. - Expertise in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Finance, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Cash Management, SAP Budgeting and Planning, SAP Project Systems, SAP Procurement, SAP Success
Factors, and SAP BTP. - Strong background in improving financial and HR processes, with analytical skills.
- Track record of delivering SAP projects on time and within budget.
- Willingness to travel within Portugal for implementation support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing SAP projects in the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of hospitality management systems and interfaces.
- Familiarity with CRM Salesforce, Oracle PMS and POS systems, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, IT Engineering, or related fields.
- Project Management Certification (e. g. , PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
