Project Quality Engineer (m/f) Leiria

Our client, a leading multinational company in the industrial sector, focused on development and production for major international projects, is looking to recruit a Project Quality Engineer (m/f) to join its internal team, with the goal of strengthening its operations at the company’s headquarters in Marinha Grande (Leiria).

Overview

Responsibilities

• Define and negotiate product conformity criteria (functional, dimensional, appearance) with customers.
• Lead APQP activities (FMEA, MSA, control plans, statistical studies) aligned with project timelines.
• Develop and validate Product & Process FMEAs following AIAG-VDA standards.
• Create and implement Control Plans and ensure proper measurement systems.
• Support geometric convergence between product and process designs.
• Train production teams on product/process requirements and customer specifications.
• Manage
  - series quality phases, including Quality Wall setup and issue resolution.
• Handle documentation, customer portals, and initial sample approvals (PSW, Note 3).
• Monitor deviation requests, ensuring corrective actions and compliance.
• Track and report project quality KPIs.
• Lead
  - solving processes (8D, QRQC, DMAIC).
• Drive continuous improvement and support the development of new quality methodologies.

Mission

• As part of the project team, this professional will act as the primary customer contact for all
  - related topics during the product development phase until final validation.
• Responsible for ensuring the quality level of the product, proactively identifying risks, and driving improvements to optimize Quality, Cost, and Timing throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Academic background in Quality Engineering or equivalent;
• 4+ years of professional experience in similar roles;
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, EN 9100 standards;
• Proficiency in quality tools (FMEA, statistical studies, MSA, and control plans);
• Proven experience in audits and
  - solving tools.
• MS Office 365, Solid
  Works.
