NOTICE OF OPENING OF AN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF A DOCTORATE UNDER THE DECREE-LAW No. 57/2016, OF AUGUST 29, WITH AMENDMENTS BY LAW 57/2017, OF 19 JULY AND COMPLEMENTARY LEGISLATION.

1. The Executive Board of IST-ID opened an international selection competition for one doctorate position in Arts, Engineering and Technology Sciences & Biological Sciences. The appointment is under an unspecified
- term work contract under the Labor Code, for research activities within the PRR project Blockchain. pt CC931101, with duties including: i) design of solutions based on blockchain technologies; ii) organization, facilitation, and reporting of participative workshops with various stakeholders; iii) supervision of research activities; iv) participation in work meetings with academic partners and civil society partners; v) communication and dissemination of results; vi) knowledge and results transfer.

The jury comprises: Duarte Nuno Jardim Nunes (President), Daniel Simões Lopes, Hugo Nicolau. Place of work: Interactive Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Laboratory of Robotics and Engineering Systems (LARSy
S), IST/ULisboa campus.

Remuneration and Contract Duration

Remuneration at NR 33 level of the TRU: 2, 351. 53 EUR/month. The contract duration is tied to project funding and may be terminated in accordance with the Labour Code, with advance notice as required.

Eligibility and Formalization of Applications

The competition is open to national candidates, foreigners and stateless persons who hold a Doutor degree (or recognition under Decree-Law 66/2018). Applicants must demonstrate a scientific and professional curriculum suitable to the activity. Applications are formalized via an online form at IST-ID, addressed to the President of IST-ID, including full personal information and consent to electronic communications.

Selection Process and Evaluation

Evaluation is based on scientific and curricular path, considering relevance, quality, timeliness, and alignment with the project. Criteria include: scientific and technological output (last five years), applied research, dissemination of knowledge, management experience in science/tech/innovation programs; additional criteria may be considered for WP1, WP3, and WP8. The jury may request further documents as needed. Final ranking is by absolute majority with 0 abstentions; minutes and rankings are disclosed to candidates upon request.

Additional Information

Food allowance per workday; 22 annual vacation days; parental leave from 120 to 180 days (with social security subvention).
