We are looking for a Purchasing Clerk to join our
- opening team at Andaz Lisbon.

Expected to open in Q3 2025, Andaz Lisbon will offer guests an exciting new luxury lifestyle hotel in the Portuguese capital. It will represent a key milestone in Hyatt’s continued brand growth in Southern Europe and will be the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Lisbon. Located in the bustling Baixa district along Rua Augusta, the hotel will consist of five buildings, including the historic Banco Português de Investimento (BPI). The hotel will feature 170 guestrooms and private suites across the main and satellite buildings, offering an authentic Lisbon experience.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Purchasing Clerk to join our
- opening team at Andaz Lisbon.

Responsibilities

1. Receiving Goods: Verify and inspect incoming goods against purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in quality and quantity.
2. Inventory Management: Calculate figures for food inventories, orders, and costs. Conduct inventory audits to determine levels and needs.
3. Order Processing: Complete requisition forms, create purchase orders, receive goods, and manage inventory using appropriate systems.
4. Vendor Coordination: Track received inventory, reconcile invoices and reports, and troubleshoot delivery issues.
5. Quality Control: Refuse damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items. Ensure quality and timely delivery.
6. Compliance: Follow food safety policies, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to safety and OSHA standards.
7. Record Keeping: Maintain organized records, complete reports and logs, and ensure proper filing of invoices.
8. Team Collaboration: Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to concerns appropriately.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 1-2 years of purchasing, storeroom, or receiving experience in a
   - volume luxury hotel environment.
3. Skills: Proficiency in Excel and inventory control software, attention to detail, multitasking, negotiation skills, and vendor management.
4. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 15 kilos, work on feet most of the day, and use a hand cart or dolly.
