Purchasing Manager Aveiro

We are partnering with a global industry leader in search of an experienced Purchasing Manager to drive procurement excellence and optimize performance.

Responsabilidades chave

• Define sourcing and supplier strategy aligned with the company’s strategy and benchmarking with the company Purchasing Community;
• Manage daily activity and develop buyer(s), empowering and delegating;
• Manage and optimize supplier database, developing new suppliers when necessary;
• Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers;
• Negotiate the terms & conditions of contracts, agreements or frame agreements;
• Balance tactical and execution tasks with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction;
• Seek market innovation aligned with the company's strategy;
• Foster relationship with suppliers to reduce costs, optimize processes, improve efficiency (on time deliveries and consignment stock), exchange market information and seek innovation;
• Build deeper knowledge of key supplier’s manufacturing process to mitigate the risk;
• Interact with internal departments to obtain the needs and the best process output;
• Actively participate in supplier performance assessment;
• Ensure purchasing procedure/policies are followed;
• Ensure that all people involved in projects are aligned and updated.

Competências

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics or Engineering;
• At least 5 years of Purchasing experience;
• Preferable: experience in the purchasing of indirects (Capex, Opex and Overheads) in the food industry and services;
• Qualification or knowledge needed to the function:
  • English is mandatory;
  • Good negotiation and analytical skills, leadership skills, sharing attitude, collaboration skills, strong oral and written communication skills - ability to communicate effectively at all levels;
  • A good listener with ability to influence others and lead small teams, hands on and proactive attitude, effective problem identification and solution skills, ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously;
  • Resilient, Meet targets, Teamwork;
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft office tools, knowledge of SAP, preferably;
  • Knowledge of purchasing indirect materials (Capex, Opex, Overheads).
