Backend Engineer (Python/Django)

A fast growing fintech scale up is looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to help shape the future of its financial platform. With recent backing from top tier institutional investors and a track record of supporting thousands of businesses worldwide, the company provides fast, solutions that power B2B growth.
You’ll be joining a cross functional, globally distributed engineering team, building out core financial services and infrastructure that directly impact customer experience and business outcomes.
What you'll be doing
- Building and scaling backend services using Python (Django or similar frameworks)
- Designing and maintaining clean,
- structured REST APIs - Working with relational databases (ideally Postgre
SQL) and designing performant schemas - Writing clean, tested, production ready code
- Collaborating closely with product, data, and design teams to ship new features
- Monitoring application performance and addressing reliability or security concerns
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to architectural discussions
- Supporting continuous improvement across the team
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of backend engineering experience (multiple levels available), ideally with Python/Django
- Deep knowledge of API design , microservices and scalable systems
- Experience working with SQL databases and ORMs
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS
- Comfort with Git , testing frameworks (e. g. pytest), and CI/CD workflows
- A strong grasp of security best practices and data protection principles
- An effective communicator (fluent in English) , a collaborative team player, and someone who thrives in fast paced, dynamic environments.
Bonus points if you’ve worked in fintech or product led Saa
S businesses, but we’re open to strong engineers from all industries.
