Explore Group is delighted to be partnered exclusively with a rapidly scaling technology business operating within the sports data and real‑time analytics space. This organisation is building a next‑generation data platform powering live feeds, high‑frequency data pipelines and centralised solutions used globally by industry‑leading clients.

The Role:

You will play a key part in building and optimising backend systems that support high‑volume, real‑time data delivery. This includes working across their current stack – Postgre
SQL, Fast
API and Redis – as well as supporting their transition towards a distributed, streaming‑focused architecture leveraging Kafka‑compatible queuing and Click
House for analytics.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years’ commercial experience in backend development (Python preferred)
• Strong experience with Fast
  API or similar modern frameworks
• Solid understanding of Postgre
  SQL and Redis in production environments
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Familiarity with Docker and containerised deployments
• Hands‑on experience with monitoring, observability and performance tooling
• Comfortable collaborating closely with senior engineers and product teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Kafka‑style systems (e. g. Redpanda)
• Knowledge of Click
  House or high‑performance analytical databases
• Familiarity with distributed systems or large‑scale data pipelines
• Interest in sports data or high‑frequency feeds
