Join the Five9 Tools and Monitoring team for an exciting opportunity to play a role in maintaining Five9’s Cloud Call Center Services and Application Delivery. The team’s goal is to provide the Cloud Operations team with the tools needed to maintain the highest possible platform availability. This position requires coding skills to create applications, automation, and monitoring scripts for internal needs, as well as support existing applications.

Please note this is a 12-month contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain Python web applications using Django
• Create and maintain Python scripts for monitoring data collection and task automation
• Perform code reviews
• Optimize and refactor existing code
• Work with other engineers to containerize applications for deployment on Kubernetes and Docker
• Perform routine maintenance on monitoring platforms

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of Python web development experience with Django and Asyncio
• Advanced knowledge of Git/Git
  Lab
• Experience setting up Highly Available applications with load balancers like Nginx and Keepalived
• Knowledge of multithreading concepts
• Good understanding of My
  SQL databases
• Strong analytical and
  - solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Team player

Desirable Skills:

• Experience operating Python applications in Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience deploying applications to public clouds
• Development experience with Uvicorn/Gunicorn
• Experience working with Java
  Script; our applications have Python backend and JS frontend
• AWS/GCP experience
• Understanding and experience with messaging systems like Kafka and Redis
