Responsibilities

1. Extraction of test scenarios and subsequent design and execution of both manual and automated testing. Design of scenarios to ensure coverage of both positive and negative pathways.
2. Work within a BDD framework and design web UI automation tests using Selenium within a C# built framework.
3. Analyze requirements, extract and design the appropriate level of test coverage, considering the risk around implementation of a requirement when prioritizing key test cases.
4. Work with multiple technologies and adapt to designing automation using various toolsets.
5. Balance test coverage with time limitations to manage and communicate any perceived risk with business stakeholders in a professional manner.
6. Drive continuous improvement both as part of a team and individually, looking to lead initiatives to enhance test practices and drive quality.
7. Passionate about quality and take ownership for the quality of our product in all aspects.
8. Clearly document test cases so that other team members can easily understand purpose, actions and expected outcomes.
9. Be adaptable in various testing methodologies, practices, and tools that complement the software quality process.
10. Work in an agile environment and adaptable to changing circumstances in a
    - paced environment.
11. Reporting and management of defects and issues, aligned to ISTQB defect principles and standards.

Qualifications

Must-Have skills:

1. +3 years in a software quality environment.
2. +1 year working with automated testing frameworks and the design of automation testing.
3. Proven track record in eliciting test scenarios from user stories/requirements and designing both positive and negative tests to provide comprehensive coverage.
4. Background working with
   - based automation frameworks, utilizing Selenium.
5. Experience in extracting test scenarios, devising test cases and automating these using a range of techniques.
6. Knowledge of BDD scenario design and frameworks.
7. Design of manual test cases to provide appropriate coverage where automation is not considered feasible nor practical.
8. Experience working with an Agile development and testing environment.

Good to have skills:

1. Experience with Specflow tooling.
2. Experience using tools to automate desktop software.
3. SQL experience (ability to query data within a relational DB).
4. Experience testing web APIs using tools such as Postman.
5. Able to interpret and work with XML/JSON.
6. Experience in working with teams using TDD.
7. Experience working with Kanban/scrum agile methodologies.
8. Experience with participation in agile planning, sprinting and reviews.
9. Background working with virtual machines and associated configuration.
10. Software testing certification e. g. , ISTQB or equivalent.
11. OOP knowledge (Ideally C#).
12. Testing of native
    - based solutions and their deployment architecture.
