Overview

SAP Sovereign Cloud Automation Quality Specialist

We are seeking a Quality Specialist (f/m/d) in the Sovereign Cloud Delivery Architecture Quality Assurance team within the Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit. You will test and operate the internal SAP Sovereign Cloud environments used as reference by regional Operations teams and help deliver SAP Multi-Tenant applications to SAP Sovereign Cloud customers, aiming at functional completeness, streamlined deployments, and smooth operation. You will work closely with technical product managers, engineers, our security team, SAP product teams, and Operations teams to address Sovereign Cloud scale and security challenges using your functional expertise in environment setup, testing (manual/automated), and defect management.

You will participate in the release lifecycle, including scheduling, coordinating, and executing test cases for releases and patches in
- production Cloud landscapes. You will help identify defects, track remediation, and capture software or solution updates required for future deployments.

Responsibilities

• Test planning, design, and execution for releases and patches in
  - production environments.
• Identify, log, and track defects; coordinate remediation activities.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, security, and operations to ensure quality objectives are met.
• Contribute to manual and automated testing efforts and CI/CD integration.
• Support successful deployments by validating environments and configurations.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong background in software testing, with
  - on experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Proven experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Webdriver
  IO, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Solid understanding of
  - oriented programming and software design patterns (e. g. , Loadable Component, Page Object Model, Page Factory).
• Experience in test planning, design, and execution, leveraging tools such as Jira for task management and requirement tracking.
• Practical experience with Test Management Systems (TMS) such as Xray, Zephyr, or HP Quality Center.
• Experience with REST clients and working with API documentation (e. g. , Swagger).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, Git
  Hub Actions, or Git
  Lab pipelines.
• Experience in defect management: detecting, logging, and reporting bugs effectively.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate in
  - functional teams.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Software Testing lifecycle with ISTQB Foundations certification.
• Product knowledge of SAP BTP solutions.

Work Experience

• 2+ years of QA experience, including manual as well as test automation.
