WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

As a QA Tester at Goparity, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our web and mobile applications meet the highest standards of functionality, usability, and security. Your insights will help shape the continuous improvement of our platform and contribute to our mission of delivering a flawless experience to our users.

ABOUT THE ROLE - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manual Testing: Execute manual test cases across web and mobile applications to identify bugs, performance issues, and functional gaps.
• Test Planning: Collaborate with the product and development teams to define, document, and execute test plans and strategies.
• Automation Testing: Work towards automating repetitive testing tasks and maintain existing automation scripts to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track bugs in collaboration with developers, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Regression Testing: Conduct thorough regression tests to validate new features and ensure that existing functionalities are not impacted by changes.
• User Experience: Provide feedback on the usability and overall user experience, ensuring the product aligns with user expectations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with
  - functional teams (engineering, product, and design) to understand project requirements and ensure smooth project deliveries.
• Reporting: Generate and share test reports, highlighting the results of test cases, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, tools, and methods.

ABOUT YOU

• At least 1 year of experience as a QA Tester
• Experience with manual testing tools (e. g. JIRA).
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and working within an agile team.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for identifying even the smallest of issues.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently to troubleshoot issues.
• Tools: Proficiency with
  - tracking tools (e. g. , JIRA) and testing tools
• Knowledge of SDLC: Understanding of the software development lifecycle and where QA fits within the process.
• Passion for sustainability, social entrepreneurship, finance, and innovation.
• Attentive to others and ability to work effectively with a multinational team (we are an English-first company, so you need to have good communication skills in English).
• A positive, constructive, and proactive attitude when facing new challenges, including the ones that are not part of your job description, whenever necessary.
• Residency in the European Union - we can only offer a contract model to residents in Portugal.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with automation testing frameworks is a plus (e. g. Cypress).
• Familiarity with designing for
  - driven products.
• Residency in Lisbon or Barcelona.
