ATEPELI - Ateliers du Portugal, is part of one of the largest international luxury groups. At ATEPELI we are dedicated to the production of exclusive leather goods and footwear components. Currently, we have 3 workshops in the north of Portugal, more specifically, in Ponte de Lima, Penafiel and Santa Maria da Feira. Currently, we are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to champion quality excellence within our workshops and contribute to our ongoing success.

As a Quality Engineer at ATEPELI, you will:

• Contribute significantly to ensuring our workshops meet, and exceed, the quality expectations of our discerning customers.
• Play a key role in defining and implementing ATEPELI's quality policy, driving the harmonization and continuous improvement of our workshop quality systems.

What you'll do:

• Share the customer quality vision within the workshop team, and proactively manage customer alerts, driving effective
  - solving and product/process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with central teams to ensure our critical manufacturing processes (crimping, screwing, coloring, gluing) consistently comply with ATEPELI's exacting standards.
• Develop, maintain, and improve the workshop's quality system, proactively seeking opportunities to optimize and innovate quality tools and processes.
• Provide insightful analyses of key quality performance indicators (materials, components, manufacturing, products, customers) to inform
  - making and drive continuous improvement.
• Train manufacturing teams in the use of quality tools & approaches, fostering a culture of quality excellence throughout the workshop.
• Lead
  - focused communications, presentations, and events within the workshop, and actively participate in
  - functional teams to drive improvements.

Is this position made for you?

We are seeking a candidate with a degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field, coupled with proven experience in a Quality Engineering role, ideally within a manufacturing setting. A strong understanding of quality management principles and methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, and ISO 9001, is essential.

Beyond technical skills, the ideal candidate will be a skilled
- solver, demonstrating excellent analytical (e. G. Power
BI),
- thinking and problem solving abilities (e. G. 8D e FMEA tools mastering). Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are also vital for success in this role.

Finally, we are looking for someone who is proactive,
- oriented, thrives in a collaborative team environment and is fluent in English or French.
