YOUR MISSION

You will be the Technical Authority and Team Leader for Quantum & Post Quantum Communications Research & Innovation, with a strong focus on Post-Quantum Cryptography. Reporting directly to the R&D Director, you will define and lead strategic technical priorities,
- innovate with clients and partners, and guide a team of researchers in developing
- edge capabilities and assets.

YOUR ROLE

Technology Treads: Monitor global trends in Quantum Communications and Post-Quantum Cryptography.

Client & Market Insight: Together with Key Account Manager and Innovation Business Developer, identify future clients’ opportunities/needs where Quantum and Post Quantum communications innovation can add value.

Strategic Planning: Define technical priorities and research topics aligned with client needs, tech trends, and group Quantum Lab strategy.

Project Leadership: Identify and lead research and innovation projects, including
- innovation initiatives with clients and partners with objective to create assets and capabilities to create future business impact.

Funding Strategy: Collaborate with the Innovation & Research Funding Manager to define budget needs and contribute to national/international funding applications.

Proposal Development: Responsible to write technical scope for funding calls to maximize success rates.

Partnership Development: Build and nurture strategic partnerships to
- develop technical roadmaps and fund innovation.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the Quantum Communications and Post-Quantum Cryptography research team.

Dissemination & Exploitation: Promote research thought leadership through events, articles, papers, workshops, client ideation sessions, and strategic meetings to monetize innovation.

YOUR PROFILE

Deep understanding and experience with cryptography technologies, primitives, algorithms, PKI systems and digital certificates.

Experience with cryptographic libraries (ex: Open
SSL, Mbed TLS, Bouncy Castle, libsodium etc. . . )

Hands-on experience with security protocols (VPN, TLS , IPSec. Etc. )

Experience with Linux systems, scripting, network performance analysis - cryptography performance benchmarking and debugging capabilities.

Proficiency with multiple programming languages - C/C++, Java, Python and any other relevant programming languages.

Good understanding of cloud platforms and cloud data protection and key management aspects on any/all the leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure and GCP).

Experience with modern software development lifecycle methodologies.

Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical content to
- technical stakeholders.

Strong leadership and technical authority in R&D business environments.

Experience with national and international funding programs (e. g. , Horizon Europe, PRR).

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Strategic mindset with the ability to align technical vision with business goals.

Ph
D or Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.

Preferred Skills

Understanding of basic quantum computing concepts and their implications on cryptographic systems

Basic understanding of other
- safe technologies like Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).

Experience with PQC algorithms and their implementations (ex: Lib
OQS).

Experience with software tools (containers, benchmarking, testing, debugging, . . ).

Familiarity with security related standards, including PQC (NIST, IETF, FIPS 203 - 205 etc. . )
