Overall Description

Körber is modernizing and optimizing its finance and accounting footprint. The Körber Group is creating an Accounting Shared Services Center in Porto to streamline processes and deliver
- quality accounting services to the Group.

Based in Porto, the Record to Report (R2R) Accounting Specialist will join the Shared Services Center from the early stages and support the Accounting Team Lead in shaping the R2R process from the beginning.

Your Role

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the general ledger and support the financial reporting process.
Record all financial transactions accurately and timely.
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Prepare and post journal entries.
Perform bank, intercompany, and other account reconciliations.
Assist in
- end and
- end closing processes.
Prepare and deliver financial reports to management.
Assist in preparing statutory accounts and annual reports.
Ensure compliance with local and international financial reporting standards.
Develop accounting policies and procedures.
Support process management in continuous improvement of R2R processes.
Maintain communication with
- receiving companies to support ad hoc tasks and resolve issues.
Collaborate with other accounting areas in the Shared Services Center to ensure quality and harmonization.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and Group standards, including German GAAP and tax regulations.

Your Profile

Completed accounting or business administration studies.
Over 3 years of professional experience in R2R accounting, preferably in a Shared Services Center or multinational organization.
Excellent command of English; German is a plus.
Experience with transfer pricing and tax regulations is beneficial.
Proficient in MS Office and SAP.
Strong analytical skills and meticulous work approach.
Cooperative, communicative, and responsible.
