Offer Description

A call is open for the award of an R&D Initiation Scholarship (BII) within the scope of the project CRIARTE - Refª: COMPETE2030-FEDER-01192200 - 17402,
- financed by the program Portugal 2030 "Fundo Europeu de Desenvolvimento Regional (FEDER)" through the “Programa Temático Inovação e Transição Digital - Compete 2030”, under the following conditions:

The purpose of the fellowship will be the implementation and development of the following activities:

• Comparative analysis of AR (Augmented Reality) devices;
• Comparative study of the characteristics of existing solutions in the market (CRIARTE);
• Comparative study of the operation of the Meta Quest and Holo
  Lens glasses - experience with loading and interaction of the Ingeniarius scenario model (CRIARTE);
• BIM-AR integration;
• Survey and evaluation of BIM (Building Information Modelling) platforms and selection of the solution that has the best characteristics for integration with Unity and AR;
• Development of BIM visualization scenarios in AR;
• Other tasks relevant to the CRIARTE project.

Generic scientific area: Computer Engineering

Specific scientific area: Augmented Reality

- Undergraduate students, enrolled in the academic year 2024/2025, with active enrollment and regularized status.

- With experience in programming in Unity.

Specific Requirements

Work plan:

The work plan will be the development of a project within the scope of the BIM-AR interconnection, fulfilling the activities defined above.

To this value is added the voluntary social insurance corresponding to the first level, if the candidate chooses to register, and personal accident insurance.

Eligibility criteria

Requirements:

- Undergraduate students, enrolled in the academic year 2024/2025, with active enrollment and regularized status.

- With experience in programming in Unity.

Selection process

The criteria for evaluating applications are as follows: curriculum evaluation (50%) and interview (50%).

Curricular evaluation will consider:

• Absolute merit of the curriculum vitae (80%);
• Publications in the proceedings of scientific events and scientific journals (20%).

The interview will consider:

• Knowledge and profile appropriate to the duties to be carried out (50%);
• Availability and flexible working hours (20%);
