R&D Scientist (Mid-Senior Level)

We’re hiring an R&D Scientist (Mid–Senior Level) at Best
Health4U, located in Braga. This is a
- time,
- site role with a deadline of 15th November.

Mission

- centered skin medical solutions that heal better, feel better, and respect the planet.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and characterize
  - based materials for medical use.
• Integrate chemical and biological sensors responsive.
• Design and assemble multi‑layer wound dressing prototypes.
• Lead testing, optimization, and data analysis to support prototype validation.
• Work hand‑in‑hand with engineers, clinicians, and biologists to bring innovation from the lab to the patient.
• Contribute to technical reports, publications, and patents.

What We’re Looking For

• Ph
  D in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related areas.
• +3 years of postgraduate experience in R&D.
• Expertise in polymeric hydrogels (formulation, crosslinking, rheology, swelling).
• Experience with chemical or chromatic sensors.
• Skilled in materials characterization (FTIR, SEM, DSC, UV‑Vis, TGA).
• Knowledge of ISO *****, MDR, and medical device standards (a plus).
• A creative, autonomous problem‑solver who thrives in a startup environment.
