Hitachi Energy is looking for a Regional Continuous Improvement Leader to join our international team for our Grid Automation Business Unit, across the UK and Europe. This role involves driving sustainable and transformational change in various business areas, impacting operational efficiency and delivering cost savings across all our business operations in Hub Europe Grid Automation.

Ideally, you’ll have working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma strategies and principles, and experience conducting cycles of learning and managing projects utilizing Six Sigma methodology. As a change champion, you should understand success factors, market requirements, threats, and opportunities, and be capable of encouraging, guiding, and supporting internal stakeholders at all levels to realize the benefits of continuous improvement. Our approach is collaborative, focusing on engaging hearts and minds.

You will combine technical expertise in Lean and Six Sigma with strong people and organizational skills to deliver
- driven operational improvements within set timeframes. Effective communication skills are essential to convey positive messages internally, coach teams, manage projects, and serve as a trusted subject matter expert.

Your Responsibilities

1. Serve as a change agent within your geography and the Global PG Division Continuous Improvement function.
2. Challenge conventional thinking and drive accountability for operational results, including lead time, inventory, and cost across all locations and structures.
3. Teach Continuous Improvement thinking and facilitate DMAIC projects.
4. Coach and mentor Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, and Quality Leaders across the region.
5. Ensure deployment of the Leading Operating Model (Lighthouse Framework) aligns with targets and plans.
6. Support key project delivery as a Lean Six Sigma coach and mentor.
7. Deliver the CI HUB Europe strategy and achieve strategic targets and milestones.

Your Background

1. Experience in manufacturing, engineering, materials management, quality, or process improvements.
2. A proven track record of delivering impactful results that improve the bottom line.
3. Ability to develop strategies, translate them into actionable plans, and drive sustainable change through influence.
4. Experience as a change agent challenging traditional approaches and methodologies.
5. Leadership skills to influence teams without direct authority.
6. Knowledge of Lean Production Systems or similar frameworks.
7. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, World Class Manufacturing, or Six Sigma principles.
8. Experience conducting kaizen events and cycles of learning, with a clear understanding of market success factors.
9. Ability to multitask initiatives like training, kaizen events,
   - ups, and reporting.
10. Effective communication skills at all organizational levels, including senior leadership.
11. Strong project management skills—meeting deadlines,
    - up, escalation, and gap closure.
12. Experience developing training plans and ensuring sustainability.
13. Exceptional
