The Regional Director of Human Resources for Portugal & Europe at United Hospitality Management will serve as a strategic partner and leader, fostering an inclusive, innovative, and
- driven culture across the organization. This role will ensure that HR policies, practices, and initiatives align with the company’s mission to deliver exceptional hospitality services while cultivating a workplace where employees thrive.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with UHM’s business objectives and organizational goals.
- Partner with the executive leadership to shape company culture and drive engagement across all levels of the organization.
- Lead change management initiatives to support company growth and transformation while maintaining a
- centered approach.
Talent Acquisition and Management
- Oversee recruitment efforts, ensuring the attraction and retention of
- tier talent to meet current and future business needs. - Implement robust onboarding programs to seamlessly integrate new employees into the organization.
- Establish and manage career development programs, including performance appraisals, succession planning, and leadership development.
Employee Engagement and Relations
- Foster a positive work environment through innovative engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and clear communication.
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on workplace issues, conflict resolution, and compliance with company policies.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, ensuring UHM is a leader in building an inclusive workforce.
Policy Development and Compliance
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with local, state, and federal regulations as well as industry best practices.
- Ensure the organization is fully compliant with employment laws, health and safety standards, and labor relations requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of HR practices to identify and mitigate risks.
Compensation and Benefits
- Design and oversee competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent while aligning with company objectives.
- Regularly review and benchmark total rewards packages to ensure competitiveness within the hospitality industry.
Workforce Analytics and Reporting
- Utilize HR analytics and
- driven insights to inform
- making and measure the effectiveness of HR programs. - Prepare and present reports to the executive team on key HR metrics, including employee turnover, engagement scores, and talent acquisition performance.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure HR operations are efficient, scalable, and aligned with the needs of a growing organization.
- Oversee HR systems and technologies, driving continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Master’s degree or MBA with a concentration in HR or Organizational Development is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise in the hospitality industry or a related sector.
- Proven experience managing HR teams in a
- location,
- brand environment. - Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices at both regional and national levels.
- Advanced skills in workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.
