Relationship Officer PSP - Lisbon or Porto
Job Description
The Client Relationship Senior Officer’s main mission is to manage the daily relationship with Corporate clients of BNP Paribas in an innovative, digital and industrial way. The Senior Relationship Officer (Senior RO) develops the relationship with Corporate clients by understanding client needs and proposing adequate Flow Banking Products, being the entry point for clients within the Bank for commercial matters.
It is also expected to deal with more sensitive clients and situations. The Senior Relationship Officer mentors and supports more junior members of the team.
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with Payment Service Provider’s (PSPs) for
- resident accounts across EMEA. - Onboard PSP's across EMEA taking responsibility for the KYC, compliance, account opening, underlying contractual agreement and where applicable credit risk process.
- Manage client and internal stakeholders, including both head office and local legal, compliance operational teams and credit where applicable, requests.
- Support Relationship Managers covering the global relationship in the strategic dialogue with PSPs when it comes in particular to Cash Management and where applicable beyond.
- Participate in the screening and prioritization of PSP targets & opportunities.
- Maintain highest level of knowledge and understanding of the changing regulatory framework governing PSPs and related internal control framework that BNP Paribas has put in place for PSPs.
- Contribute to and join client pitches and discussions.
- Contribute to define the CIB strategy for PSPs in EMEA

- hand with the broader leadership of the Growth Capital & Solutions Team. - Propose process and set up improvements as needed, contributing to create and maintain best practices in line with BNP Paribas' standards and expectations.
- Ensure strong coordination and alignment with Cash Management stakeholders dedicated to PSP business development.
- Ensure great coordination with the local Coverage and support functions teams to manage smooth migration of
- resident accounts from local to the hub. - Provide visibility on revenue generation of
- resident accounts activity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance and Accounting.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both oral and written.
- At least 5 years of experience within a bank, financial institution or at a PSP in relationship management, coverage, cash management of payment companies or Non-Banking Financial Institution’s (NBFIs).
- Knowledge of the payment industry dynamics.
- Entrepreneurial with a results driven mindset.
- Ability to manage a project with a
- oriented approach. - Experience working across multiple countries and cultures.
