Overview

The Muñoz Research Group conducts fundamental and
- oriented research on materials and devices for energy storage and conversion. We are seeking a Research Assistant to join our team and work under the PRR framework, in the NGS Agenda.

Job Duties

• Synthesis of battery materials
• Structural characterization of battery materials
• Result reporting
• Assist supervisor in developing laboratory protocols for enhanced quality, efficiency, and safety

Mandatory Qualifications

Education

• MSc in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or related fields

Experience and Technical Skills

• Experience with materials characterization, structural techniques such as diffraction, electron microscopy, and X-ray absorption
• Knowledge of synthesis methods
• Experience handling materials and preparing them for characterization
• Bibliographic research and reporting experimental work

Other Valued Skills

• Previous experience with materials for energy
• Familiarity with electrochemical characterization
