Overview
The Salomé Research Group (Nanofabrication, Optoelectronics, and Energy Applications) is dedicated to developing nanofabrication and applications for optoelectronics and energy. Focused on developing nanofabrication solutions for a diverse set of applications via competitive funding projects and industrial services. The group aims to keep advancing the state‑of‑the‑art in several areas.
We’re looking for a Research Assistant to join our team under the project MI3S – Sensorized and Sustainable Solar Waterproof Membrane.
Job Duties
- CIGS Solar cell fabrication
- Development of metallization with screen printing, evaporation, and inkjet printing
- Solar cell characterization using J‑V and EQE
Mandatory Qualifications
Education
- MSc in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Microfabrication, or related areas including Engineering
Experience and Technical Skills
- Characterization and/or deposition of thin films
- Solar cells/photovoltaics
Other Valued Skills
- Experience with sputtering
- Experience with inkjet
Personal Skills
- Strong motivation to work both independently and as part of a team in an interdisciplinary environment, with the ability to pay close attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- “Hands‑on” approach together with a high commitment to respecting working deadlines

How the Selection Process Works

The question‑based interview will evaluate the match between the candidate’s profile and the requirements for the position, including the technical and personal skills. To better support this stage, the candidate may be requested to prepare a short presentation.
D. Nomination
The selected candidate will be nominated and formally offered the position, including the disclosure of the contractual conditions.
