Admission Requirements

Ph
D candidates, master's enrolled in a
- degree course, and master's students may apply for this scholarship. Preference will always be given to Ph
D candidates if they meet the admission requirements below.

Candidates with a Ph
D must cumulatively fulfil the following requirements:

1. A Ph
   D in a Biological Sciences or related area. It will also be required that the following requirements are fulfilled cumulatively:
2. Ph. D. degree obtained in the three years prior to the start date of the grant.
3. The
   - doctoral research will be carried out in a host entity other than the one in which the research work leading to the award of the Ph. D. degree was carried out.
4. The grant holder does not exceed, with the celebration of the grant contract in question, including possible renewals, an accumulated period of three years in this fellowship type, followed or interpolated.

Additional Requirements for Ph
D Candidates:

1. Experience in water sample processing, environmental microbiology, molecular biology, and specifically quantitative PCR.
2. Oral and written command of the English language.

Candidates with a Master’s Degree or Master’s Students must fulfil the following requirements:

1. Master's degree in a Biological Sciences or related area or be enrolled in a master’s degree in the same area.
2. Experience in water sample processing, environmental microbiology, molecular biology, and quantitative PCR. The experience required for this competition should be comparable to the candidates with a Ph
   D.
3. Oral and written command of the English language.
4. Present their enrolment or a statement of commitment to enroll in a course not conferring an academic degree which promotes the consolidation of their scientific training.
5. Present enrolment or present proof of conditional enrolment in a Ph
   D in the scientific area of Biotechnology.
