Offer Description

Summary:There is an open call for one (1) Research Scholarship (“Bolsa de Investigação”) at Instituto de Telecomunicações, in the scope of project REVOLUTION. This project is funded by FCT/MEC through national funds under the project 2022. 08005. PTDC.

Scientific Area:Wireless Communications and Sensing

Work Objectives:The objective of this work is the development, implementation and evaluation of algorithms that allow the coexistence of communication and RADAR functionalities. This work will be part of a doctoral program. The work includes collaboration with researchers from Ericsson Sweden, with some stays in Stockholm expected.

Place of work:The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at University of Aveiro, under the supervision of Prof. Atilio Manuel da Silva Gameiro.

Duration:4 months, with the possibility of renewal. This type of scholarship has a maximum duration of 4 years. Start date: September 2025 or soon thereafter.

• Detailed Curriculum Vitae with transcripts;
• Degree certificate (if applicable);
• Proof of enrollment in a higher education course or declaration of intention to enroll in a study cycle leading to an academic degree or in a course that does not confer an academic degree. *

*NOTE: Proof of enrollment, issued by the higher education institution in a study cycle leading to the award of an academic degree or in a
- degree course, must be submitted by the time of contract signing.

After the notification of the results, candidates have 10 working days if they wish to contest the decision.

• Are intended for carrying out R&D activities by students enrolled in a doctoral program, aiming to consolidate their scientific training through the development of research work leading to the respective academic degree, whether or not integrated into R&D projects.
• Are intended for carrying out R&D activities by master's degree holders who are enrolled in
  - degree courses that are part of the educational programme of a higher education institution, developed in association or cooperation with one or more R&D units.

Candidates must have master in Eng. Electronics and Telecommunications or similar, knowledge in wireless communications, more specifically in terms of the physical layer and experience in Mat
Lab/Simulink. Preference is also given to candidates who are motivated to enroll in a doctoral program during the scholarship period.

Additional Information

1309. 64€ according to the table of grant amounts awarded directly by FCT for positions held in Portugal ( www.fct. pt/apoios/bolsas/valores ). The payment will be made by bank transfer.
