Applications are open for one (1) Research Studentship, within the framework of project Fostering thecity of proximity through Maa
S integration (FORTHCOMING) / Associação do Instituto Superior Técnico para a
Investigação e o Desenvolvimento (IST-ID), (DUT/0008/2022) , financed by national funds through FCT/MCTES (PIDDAC)

Workplan: Develop and carry out research tasks on the project topics, related with:

• Develop performance indicators for the evaluation of compliance with 15 min city concepts;
• Interaction with the project stakeholders;
• Carry out and develop collaborative research with other project colleagues and research groups;
• Prepare academic papers and presentations;
• Contribute to the organization of project events and activities (e. g. seminars, workshops);

Contribute to
- scale project management activities under supervision of project’s PI

Duration: The research fellowship(s) will have the duration of 7 months. It’s expected to begin in October 2025, and may be eventually renewed up to the maximum of 10 months, including the duration of the initial contract.

Selection process

Selection methods: The selection methods will be the following:

Curriculum evaluation where the candidate should demonstrate experience in research. Evidence of published research in the scientific areas of the call and/or the project will be considered also. Individual interview up to a maximum of two candidates. The candidates selected for the interview will be the ones with the highest score in the curricular evaluation, with the respective weight of 70% curricular evaluation and 30% interview

Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.

Deadlines and procedures of complaint and appeal. A complaint may be lodged from the final decision within 15 working days, or an appeal to the Executive Board of IST-ID within 30 working days, both counted from the respective notification
